Being an observer by nature I use my art as a way to illuminate life’s overlooked details. My work is pattern driven and abstract, referencing my experience with painting, fine art photography, and the digital arts.

EXCITING DAY!
I have some great news to share-
To start, my family is adding a new member come July and I will be an Aunt once more! Hooray!
Secondly, starting Thursday March 28th and running until April 12th I am showing in an exhibit in the Goldie Paley Gallery at Moore College of Art & Design. The show includes eleven of my photographs and three photography-inspired print designs. The exhibition is part of a Junior Travel Fellowship competition. I will learn on April 11th if I receive funding to travel across northern California this summer. If you will be in the area and would like to know more information about the show, please let me know.
Lastly, I just received confirmation that I will be assisting the designers in the bedding department at Target this summer in Minneapolis for a ten-week paid internship! I am very excited for this opportunity and the chance to live in a brand new city for a few months!
So for those of you who regularly hear or see me, this might explain so of why I have been missing in action as of late.

A Basement Gallery in Queens
Just imagine the sound of ten or so vacums buzzing as you watch this. That's what it sounded like.

Rucci Weavings and a Day in Queens
The first three images are of a semi-transparent block double weave I am working on that is inspired By Ralph Rucci. The rest of the photos are from a day in Queens where we visited PS1's W.A.C.K. exhibit, a sculpture center, the most amazing graffiti building I've ever seen and some more fun sites.

Austin TX
On the way to Austin from Wichita Falls, I discovered the quaintest little rest stop. While in Austin, I really enjoyed exploring the quirky city- finding amazing thrift shops, great street art, some bohemian vagabonds with dogs, and fun a nightlife. The last photo is from the plane ride home where it seemed like the darkness was eating the sunset. Later that night I saw sideways rain. :)
